A Research Reviewofthe Impact Study of Foreign Academic Library Usage on Undergraduates' Academic Achievements

[Purpose/significance]The impact study of academic library usage on undergraduates' academic achievements can not only prove the library's contribution to the educational effectiveness, but also improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the library through enhancing the resources and services that have positive effects on learning outcomes. In order to make the researchers in China understand systematically and deeply the advanced research ideas, analytical thinking, and the development trend of related researches abroad,the author reviewed systematically the related researches,which can improve the quality of related researches in China and guide effectively the work practice of the library. [Method/process]Firstly,fifty three articles were retrieved from databases. Secondly, the author reviewed the historical development of the relevant researches abroad, and analyzed, concluded and summarized the research elements. Thirdly, the author focused on analyzing and reviewing the two types of researches, and finally put forward the research prospect.[Result/conclusion]The related researches in developed countries become matured graduallywith the development trend of normalization and standardization. Suggestions for the Chinese library community are put forward from three aspects to improve the quality of relevant researches in China. Firstly, system construction should be strengthened to promote the development of relevant researches. Secondly, the sample size and the research scope should be increased to improve the credibility and representation of research results. Thirdly, the cooperation with the evaluation of higher education should be strengthened.
