[Purpose/significance] A book review on Empirical Study on the Construction and Development of Cross-System Regional Library Consortia in China was conducted, aiming at understanding the current situation of cross-system regional library consortia in China and how to promote its development.[Method/process] From research topics, research contents, research methods, etc., this paper used content analysis, inductive and deductive methods to evaluate several distinctive features of this book.[Result/conclusion] The monograph is a representative book for mastering the development of cross-system regional library consortia in China, using solid empirical research to obtain detailed information, and putting forward a scientific and reasonable development strategy for the sustainable development of library consortia in China with a wide range of social and practical significance.
