Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The National Social Science Fund "Chinese academic translation project" is a systematic project to carry out "middle school spreading to the West" and enhance the soft power of national culture. This paper combs and explores the academic translation of library information and philology, so as to promote the discipline to the world, to become the mainstream communication channel abroad, and to enhance the international discourse power and international status of the discipline. [Method/process] Based on the investigation of the current situation of academic translation of library information and philology, this paper analyzed the reasons why the academic translation of library information and philology can not go out, and explored the direction of striving to catch up in the future.[Result/conclusion] Therefore, it is necessary to improve the management system at the top level, enhance the sense of social responsibility and mission of the industry, keep in mind the original mission, improve the concept, strengthen practice, narrow the gap between the academic translation of library information and philology, and then plan and act sensitively.
