北美高校“共同阅读计划”的实践与启示

The Practice and Enlightenment of “Common Reading Program” in North American Colleges and Universities

摘要: [目的/意义] 了解北美高校"共同阅读计划"的实施情况、类型和特点,为我国高校图书馆阅读推广提供参考与借鉴。[方法/过程] 通过调查北美高校官方网站,收集、整理并分析其中与"共同阅读计划"相关的信息,归纳出5个显著特点:对标母体机构战略并由专门机构负责;借助"讨论环节"实现"师生共读";超越单纯的"阅读活动"而追求多向融合;以"共读"拓宽学生多元素养的基底;通过多维度评估促进"共读"优化。[结果/结论] 我国高校图书馆阅读推广需要注意从以下方面做出努力:根植于母体机构的目标与定位;重视教师参与并为其提供必要支撑;借助"阅读"实现多实践的融合交叉;依托"阅读"拓展大学生多元素养;丰富评估维度并体现对学校的价值和贡献。

Abstract: [Purpose/significance] To understand the implementation, types and characteristics of the "common reading program" in North American universities, and to provide reference and reference for the promotion of reading in Chinese university libraries.[Method/process] Through investigating the official websites of North American universities, we collected, organized and analyzed the information related to the "common reading program", and summarized five distinctive features:aligning with the strategy of the parent institution and making the specialized institution responsible for it;realizing the "common reading program"by means of "discussion session";going beyond the mere "reading activities" and pursuing multi-directional integration; broadening the base of students' diversified literacy through "common reading";and promoting the "common reading" through multi-dimensional assessment. [Result/conclusion] The promotion of reading in university libraries in China needs to pay attention to the following aspects:rooting in the goals and positioning of the parent institution; attaching importance to the participation of teachers and providing them with necessary support; realizing the integration and crossover of multiple practices through "reading"; relying on "reading" to expand students' multiple literacies; enriching the assessment dimension and reflecting the value of contribution to the university.
