高校图书馆空间再造促进学生学习与成功的实证研究——基于QCA定性比较分析

An Empirical Study on the Promotion of Students' Learning and Success by Space Reconstruction in University Libraries——Based on Qualitative Comparative Analysis

摘要: [目的/意义] 探究高校图书馆空间再造促进学生学习与成功的影响因素和多元路径,为开展高校图书馆价值实证研究、图书馆与学生学习与成功的因果机制、本科教育质量保障研究提供新的方法与工具。[方法/过程] 运用QCA定性比较分析法对样本高校的22个典型学生案例和该校图书馆24个特色空间建设案例进行比较与组态分析,探索图书馆空间类型与特质等多因素对学生学习与成功的重要贡献。[结果/结论] 研究发现不同影响因素之间的"联合效应"及"互动关系"使学生形成差异性的学习类型,展示促进学生成功的不同实践路径;图书馆空间特质中"嵌入专业,协同育人"这一条件变量成为促进学生成功的必要条件;高校图书馆空间再造的软性特质凸显教育的本原回归。

Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] This paper explores the influencing factors and multiple paths of university library space reconstruction that facilitate students' learning and success, and also provides new methods and tools for carrying out empirical research on the value of university library and causal mechanism between library and students' learning and success, along with research on the quality assurance of undergraduate education.[Method/Process] The study used the qualitative comparative analysis to compare and configure 22 typical student cases and 24 library characteristic space reconstruction cases in the sample universities. These cases were analyzed to figure out the important contributions to students' learning and success from multiple factors including the spatial types and characteristics of library.[Result/Conclusion] This study reveals that the "combined effect" and "interactive relationship" among different influencing factors result in different learning types of students, which shows diverse practical paths to promote students' success. Furthermore, the study finds prerequisite that the conditional variable called " embedded specialty and collaborative education " among the spatial characteristics of library facilitates students' success. The soft trait of university library space reconstruction highlights the return of educational nature.
