Traditional library services, digital library services and mobile library services, as three key areas of modern technology applications in the public library nowadays, are the vital components in the future smart library. Combined with the position and characteristics of itself, the city library should properly deal with the relationships of three kinds of services, and promote their harmonious development when planning and promoting the technology applications. Starting with the future development, the city library should choose appropriate technologies like library automation system, RFID system etc., strengthen the regional cooperation, make its resources and services highly fused and integrated,to lead the "smart" transformation. The services of city libraries are available anytime and anywhere.
