This paper discusses the context and significance of digital convergence service of libraries and archives, systematically reviews related studies and practices in China and abroad, and analyzes deficiencies in the breadth and depth of Chinese studies on it. Based on this, it proposes the theoretical research framework of convergence service of libraries and archives, from the angles of users needs exploring,convergence mode building, security mechanisms seeking, etc. Finally, this paper presents the future research development path of this subject, which is evolved from the macro architecture to micro exploration.
