This article summarizes and analyzes the bibliographic description explorations which library community has made in their formats and models, then points out that the explorations stress too much on formats and have shortcomings of model explorations on metadata standards. It focuses on Bibframe Linked Data Model in terms of model update, model structure and the relationship between Bibframe Linked Data Model and RDA. Not only Bibframe is a format, but also it aims to develop a new bibliographic environment, which succeeds and develops RDA from perspectives of core class andresource type.
