In consideration of the development dilemma, the implementation of library professional qualification certification system in China needs a breakthrough. As a key to advance the specialization and professionalization of libraries, the barriers of subject librarian system also need solutions such as qualification certification. Analyzing and clarifying the relationship between subject librarian system and library professional qualification system will be beneficial for the establishment of library professional qualification system and perfection of library professional qualification system. Based on the combination of the two systems, the realization paths of subject librarian certification system can be analyzed including the establishment of subject librarian qualification certification standards and evaluation standards, the selection of certification methods and evaluation methods, and the analysis of relevant management system.
