摘要

对美国高校图书馆应用无线射频（RFID）技术最新情况进行调研，结果揭示，样本中有六分之一的高校图书馆使用RFID技术，应用范围包括记录馆藏和自动借还书；对此项技术应用情况，半数以上用户表示满意；安装成本及其使用中的安全可靠性是几乎所有图书馆最为关注的焦点问题；目前RFID技术使用的首要障碍仍是费用问题。最后对如何应对该技术使用中存在的问题提出改进意见。

Abstract

The authors investigate the latest usage situations of radio frequency(RFID) technology in American universities. The results reveal that one-sixth university libraries are using RFID, mainly for record collection and self-checkout; More than half of the users ae satisfied with RFID; Installation cost and safety problems are the major concerns in all libraries; At present, cost is the primary difficulty that prevents libraries from using RFID. At the end, the authors propose improvements to deal with the problems in the usage of RFID.
