In this paper, we designed a user search experiment to study the characteristics, the modes, and how online health information affects the older adults' daily information search, based on four stages which are search entrance selection, query formulation, the search results browse and selection. Results show that: older adults expressed obvious dependence and thinking tendency during the search. Three distinct search modes: home/re-selection mode, follow the hyperlinks mode, and query reformulation mode are their frequent behavior modes. Their health status, familiarity of internet and the credibility of online health information are the primary factors that they consider when older adults search health information via Internet.
