This paper focuses crowdsourcing applications in digital collection construction of libraries abroad. Firstly, it investigates crowdsourcing based library digital collection construction related practice projects in detail from three aspects: digital resources recruiting and collation, OCR recognition error correction of digital resources, cataloging and tagging digital resources. Secondly, it also sums up the practice characteristics and the successful experience of these projects. Lastly, it analyzes the challenges and opportunities of crowdcourcing applying in digital collection construction in domestic libraries and it's solutions.
