Book club is one of the important means of reading promotion both for Taiwan and mainland China. Book club activities in Taiwan universities have already made remarkable achievements in promoting more and more professional and classical literature reading, improving undergraduates' comprehensive qualities, enhancing the quality of education and enlarging learning communities etc.., According to the survey of book clubs in 18 Taiwan universities and analysis of their promotion system, operation system and promotion effect, the results show that universities in mainland China should learn from Taiwan's experiences on how to play the leading role of university libraries, enhance the service support capabilities, establish and improve stimulation mechanism, and strengthen related theoretical research.
