Study on Influence Factors of Older Adults' Online Health Information Seeking

[目的/意义] 探索网络环境下我国老年人健康信息查寻行为的影响因素,构建相关概念框架模型,为更合理化地开展老年人健康信息服务予以理论指引和支撑.[方法/过程]采用半结构访谈法收集35位老年人在网络环境下进行健康信息查寻活动的相关数据,通过扎根理论归纳出影响老年人网络健康信息查寻行为的14个概念范畴并聚焦为4个核心范畴.基于对概念范畴的分析,指出影响老年人网络健康信息查寻行为的4个主要因素,并构建网络健康信息查寻行为影响因素模型.[结果/结论]个人心理因素、个人实施成本、信息因素和社会因素是影响老年人网络健康信息查寻行为的主要因素.其中,个人心理因素和个人实施成本是内部因素,直接决定老年人网络健康信息查寻行为模式;信息因素、社会因素是外部情境条件,分别影响着内部因素与信息查寻行为之间的关系强度.

[Purpose/significance] In order to provide a theoretical support for reasonably carrying out online health information services for older adults, this study aims to explore influence factors of older adults' health information seeking behavior in network environment, and construct a related conceptual frame model.[Method/process] The qualitative data of online health information seeking activities are collected from thirty-five older adults using semi-structured interviews. Then fourteen conceptual categories are coded and four core categories are focused based on grounded theory. Through the analysis of conceptual categories, four primary factors that influence older adults' online health information seeking are discovered, and a theoretical model is constructed. [Result/conclusion] Individual psychology, personal cost, social factor and information factor are the main elements underlying older adults' online health information seeking behavior. Thereinto, individual psychology and personal cost are intrinsic factors that directly determine the mode of older adults' online health information seeking; social factor and information factor are external situational ingredients influencing the strength of relations between intrinsic factors and information seeking behavior.
