[Purpose/significance] In the era ofdata driving research, the scientific data plays amore and more importance role. How to effectively organize scientific data, and make the data easy to be reused, and using computer for secondary development, has become significance in the scientific research. [Method/process] Using the expert investigation method to determine the scientific data ontology concepts, attributes and description of scientific data metadata model, and building scientific data ontology by the experts participating, then organizing the scientific data in a knowledge environment. [Result/conclusion] Using scientific data ontology to organize the data, make scientific data in the content more rich, in forms of more easily to be understood by computers, through the construction based on ontology data retrieval empirical evidence shows that the retrieval results using the inference function to improve the detection rate, and easy to visually display search results .
