A Comparative Study on Graduate Curriculum System Construction of Library and Information Science in China and America in the Big Data Era

[目的/意义] 对中美图书情报专业研究生课程体系进行对比分析,以期在理论和实践两个方面推动我国高校图书情报专业研究生课程体系建设和人才培养。[方法/过程] 运用网络调查、文献收集和比较分析研究方法,选择ischools联盟中的15所美国高校和5所国内知名高校作为研究样本,分析大数据时代背景下中美图书情报理论和实践课程体系建设的特点及差异,针对我国适应大数据时代背景的图书情报专业研究生课程体系改革提出建议。[结果/结论] 在理论和实践课程体系中,我国开设图书情报专业课程的高校应该从课程设置的广度与深度、课程更新频次、考核方式和实践动手能力培养上加强改革,以培养迎合大数据时代发展需求的高层次人才。

[Purpose/significance] This paper contrasts and analyzes the professional graduate student curriculum systems of library and information science in China and the United States to promote national library and information science curriculum construction and talent cultivation of colleges and universities in theory and practice. [Method/process] Using the method of online survey,literature collection and comparative analysis, this paper chooses 15 American colleges from the ischools organization and 5 famous universities in China as the research sample and analysis the characteristics and differences of theory and practice curriculum system construction, to put forward reform suggestions of graduate course system under the background of big data.[Result/conclusion] In the view of theory and practice, we should keep strengthening reform of the breadth, depth, update frequency,the assessment way and the practical ability of the curriculum in national colleges and universities in order to cultivate high-level talents who can meet the demands of the big data era development.
