[Purpose/significance] The paper aims to provide more effective service at zero distance by summarizing the requirements and characteristics of subject service and discussing the paths of providing subject services by libraries of higher vocational colleges.[Method/process] Itinvestigates the practices of providing subject services by libraries of higher vocational colleges. It takes Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture as an example, and analyzes the main service model of its library.[Result/conclusion] Higher vocational colleges have a high demand for subject service. The libraries need to stimulate the demands, better layout the subject services, and reinforce the exploration and summarization in practice.
