[目的/意义] 探讨用户在公共检索计算机上进行OPAC检索时遭遇失败的原因,为增加用户对系统的使用体验提供对策和建议。[方法/过程] 以国内某大学图书馆OPAC日志数据为例,从数据资源相关、用户相关、系统功能相关3个角度进行编码和分析。[结果/结论] 总结出三大类、19个具体类目的失败原因:首先,用户相关原因为主要原因,主要体现在用户检索策略方面的欠缺;其次是馆藏缺失问题,以文学类图书居多;再次是系统相关原因,主要体现在空格的"与""或"默认处理上。并从OPAC系统改进、用户培训和资源建设方面提出对策和建议。
[Purpose/significance] This paper makes an analysis of the failed queries in OPAC searching at university libraries, and examines why users encountered failure. [Method/process] By analyzing the OPAC user log data in a university library, it discovers the reasons from three aspects of data resources, user-related, and system functions. [Result/conclusion] It summarized failure reasons of 3 categories and 19 sub categories. The reasons related to users were the major ones, of which was due to the lack of searching strategies. The reasons related to library collections were the second major reasons, of which the literature books were found demanded most frequently. The reasons related to systems were listed third, of which the dealing with the space always cause failure. Finally, it provided suggestions from the OPAC promotion, user training and collections order.
