Special Collection of Research Libraries in the Digital Environment: Its Theory, Planning and Practice

[目的/意义] 探索数字环境下研究型图书馆特藏建设的新内涵与新形式，分析海外研究型图书馆特藏建设的规划与实践情况，梳理总结发展经验及策略，为国内图书馆特藏建设提供参考借鉴。[方法/过程] 通过对18所英美研究型图书馆战略规划调研，梳理分析研究型图书馆特藏建设的发展方向及支撑科研的要素；从战略规划文本中提炼行动要点；根据特藏建设报告总结在国内的适用性经验，并在此基础上对中国科学院文献情报中心的满铁特藏提出规划方案。[结果/结论] 在数字化环境下，特藏不仅涵盖传统珍稀资源，亦包括具有独特价值的特色资源。英美研究型图书馆重新定位特藏价值，在馆藏规划、馆藏数字化、空间设置、展示与传播、深度融入教学科研等方面对特藏进行整合，合作与服务的理念值得借鉴。针对特藏案例，发现问题，并提出适用性解决方案。

[Purpose/significance] Special collections can become the core value of research libraries in the digital environment. Through digitalization, they can effectively support teaching and scientific research and also serve as culture dissemination activities. The connotation, development trend and practical method of the special collections are of great significance. [Method/process] Through literature research, this paper analyzed the connotation of the special collection of the research library; distilled action points in the library strategic planning text; discussed the adaptability and feasibility of the application in the case of National Science Library. [Result/conclusion] In the digitalized environment, special collections not only consist of rare resources, but also contain special resources with particular values. Research libraries in the UK and the US redefine the value of special collections, integrate special collections in the aspects of planning, digitalization, setting, displaying and spreading. It is worth learning from these libraries in the UK and the US to serve people with collaboration, find problems and put forth practical solutions for the cases of special collections.
