[Purpose/significance] This paper studies the influencing factors of health information acquisition of peasant workers in China, so as to provide basis for accurate health information service of peasant workers. Further, it can improve their health awareness, information acquisition ability and effectiveness of accurate service. [Method/process] Based on the grounded theory, 36 representative peasant workers were sampled and interviewed on their health status, awareness and information acquisition status. The obtained audio data were text-based and the text content was substantially coded, including open code, spindle code, selective code, respectively. Besides, the theoretical saturation was verified. [Result/conclusion] These studies indicate that the main factors which influence the peasant workers’ health information acquisition are individual factors, interpersonal factors, organizational factors, community and social factors. Moreover, the factors affecting peasant workers health information acquisition theory structure is built. Clarifying the influencing mechanism of each factor can better provide beneficial reference for the research and practice of accurate health information service for peasant workers.
