[Purpose/significance] In the era of mobile Internet, the proportion of mobile devices surfing the Internet, represented by smartphones, has significantly increased, and the discussion on the impact of mobile Internet and mobile devices on the digital divide is in the ascendance. Therefore, this paper endeavors to answer the question what the connotation, scope and origin of the traditional digital divide change in the mobile era. [Method/process] This paper used content analysis to code the literature on mobile digital divide and summarized the current research status. [Result/conclusion] This paper analyzes the development process and meaning of the mobile digital divide by literature review, and distinguishes it from the traditional digital divide. It also sums up four dimensions and eight influencing factors of mobile digital divide, so as to comprehensively reveal the research status and characteristics of the mobile digital divide and provide a theoretical basis for promoting the digital equity in the new environment.
