元宇宙与图书馆:理论研究与实践进展

摘要

[目的/意义] 随着大数据时代技术的繁荣发展,AR、VR、人工智能、云计算、区块链等技术支撑下的元宇宙走进现实世界并应用于教育、影视、社交等多领域。对元宇宙在图书馆的应用领域进行分析,对其未来发展趋势进行展望,以期为相关研究提供借鉴,促进元宇宙与图书馆相容相生、融合发展。[方法/过程] 通过文献分析、内容分析及案例分析等方法,梳理相关研究文献和实践概况,分析当前元宇宙与图书馆发展的理论研究和实践进展。[结果/结论] 当前研究主要聚焦元宇宙与图书馆的可应用性、可实施性及双向价值等方面,多数以前瞻性研究为主,以元宇宙底层技术为出发点,研究信息技术对元宇宙应用于图书馆带来的新机遇。但对于元宇宙图书馆的概念特征、服务模式、工作体系等尚未形成明确统一的结论,有关元宇宙图书馆应用案例的实证研究也较为匮乏。提出后续研究中可重点关注图书馆智慧场景转化、构建元宇宙基础理论体系、风险研判规避以及消除数字鸿沟等方面。

Abstract

[Purpose/Significance] With the technological prosperity in the era of big data, the development and support of AR, VR, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, blockchain and other technologies, the metaverse has entered the real world and applied to education, film and television, social network, and other fields. This paper analyzes the application of the metaverse in library, and looks forward the development trend. We expect the study can provide ideas for related research and promote the integration and development of the metaverse and libraries. [Method/Process] Through study of literatures, content, and case, the relevant research literatures and practice overview were sorted out, and the current theoretical research status and practical progress of metaverse libraries were analyzed. [Result/Conclusion] Current studies focus on the applicability, implemensibility of metaverse in library. Interactions between metaverse and libraries are also studies. Most of the studies is mainly forward-looking. Starting from the underlying technology of the metaverse, the chances that come with application of metaverse in library are studies. However, there is no unified and clear conclusion on the concept, characteristics, service model, and working system of metaverse libraries.The empirical studies on the application cases of metaverse in library is relatively lacking. This paper proposes that the following studies should focus on scene's transforming of smart library, constructing basic theoretical system of metaverse, avoiding risk with regulations of metaverse's application in library, and eliminating of digital gaps.
