[Purpose/Significance] As a genre pondering and revealing the future, the imagination of library in science fiction proves inspiring for real libraries to cope with future changes in information management and knowledge dissemination.[Method/Processes] From sci-fi databases such as "CSFDB" (Chinese Science Fiction Database), the paper retrieved science fiction with related themes or plots, and delved into the new technologies, social services, public space environment, and civilization or cultural values in these works, to find potential strategies for future library construction.[Result/Conclusion] The study concludes that the imagination of library in recent science fiction mainly focuses on technological revolution and media innovation, public space and social services, information integration and knowledge dissemination, cultural heritage and civilization preservation. Future library may creatively draw on and transform the above literary speculations, and focus on the innovation and progress of relevant fields.
