Abstract

[Purpose/significance] This paper aims to reviews the current status and trends of in foreign health information avoidance behavior research, and to provide reference for health information avoidance behavior and related user in research in China.[Method/process] Firstly, this paper defined the boundaries and characteristics of health information avoidance behavior. Then searched, backtracked and filtered relevant literature as research data, and made a detailed analysis of the research topics, research conclusions and research methods used in previous studies. Finally discussed the deficiencies and possible future research directions.[Result/conclusion] Avoidance motivation and influencing factors constitute the current research hotspots, but an authoritative theoretical model has not yet been formed; The mechanism of influencing factors and the avoidance process, strategy, result and response are important topics with practical application value in the future; Expanding health information avoidance scenarios, mixing or introducing modern data collection and analysis methods can become research innovations.
