Innovation-oriented Plan and Practice of Information Literacy Education in SJTU Library

In view of information literacy education as an important part of subject services in university library, this paper introduces the multi-type, multi-level and comprehensive practice of information literacy education in Shanghai Jiao Tong University(SJTU) Library in IC2 innovation service model. SJTU Library has developed many kinds of information literacy training and courses, including university elective courses, rolling training, freshmen training, featured seminars, information specialist planning and embedded courses. Finally, this paper focuses on the practice and innovation of "embedded freshman seminar", which is highly integrated to the professional courses.
