Measure Study on Differentiation Degrees of Evaluation Index and Evaluation Method of Science and Technology

This paper defines the differentiation degrees of evaluation index and evaluation method of science and technology, and puts forward a general method to compute differentiation degrees. The principle is to calculate the length of evaluation data line after sorting and standardizing its data and serial number. This paper gives an empirical study based on optics journals from Journal Citation Reports of Thomson Reuters. Evaluation differentiation degree may be used in evaluation index selection, evaluation method selection and the usage of evaluation results.
