Abstract

Based on the empirical analysis, the paper analyzes the differences towards the Liaoning Normal University teachers' and students' reading needs and behaviors in the mobile environment. The results show that users’ behaviors have the characteristics of fragmentary reading, and the user groups of different gender, age, disciplines background and education level show the significant difference in mobile reading purpose (Why), reading content (What) and reading way (How). Based on the findings, this paper gives the suggestions that the library should subdivide target user groups, provide the service of reading recommendation and guidance, and clear mobile reading services orientation.
