Abstract

This paper introduced the reform on development of a new model for subject liaison service to support the research and education in University Library System of University of Pittsburgh using interviews, literature reviews and follow-up, including the background, development strategies, new framework of subject service, and the progress in open access. It also discussed the context and development directions of subject liaison service in University of Pittsburgh library system, which stress on the radical transformation to users oriented and will provide reference for the development of subject liaison system in domestic research libraries.
