Needs Analysis and Countermeasure Research on Community Health Service Staff for Literature and Information

The survey results show that the main needs of community health service staff are "basic disease diagnosis and treatment information" and "drug information", which account for 92.8% of their information needs in the daily medical diagnosis and treatment. However, only 41% of the needs are satisfied. Their information needs in research, learning and manuscript writing mainly include Chinese books, Chinese journals, textbooks, guidelines and specifications, which account for 69.6% but the satisfaction is only 35.1%. To meet the information needs of community health service staff, it is ideal to establish a literature security system that builds on community health information systems, depends on local hospital libraries and complements with e-databases such as NSTL, CALIS, and BALIS.
