Evaluation Basis Research on Content Value of the Long-term Preservation of Digital Resources

This paper analyzes the value of the digital resources preservation and puts forward the evaluation principle which is given priority to the digital resources content value, from two perspectives of its realistic meaning and historical significance. Based on this principle, it discusses evaluation standards basis for the purpose of preserving selectively. Finally, according to the value assessment result of digital resources, this paper categories and discriminates all diverse variety and different quality of digital resources, to determine the scope and degree of the long-term preservation of digital resources.
