Recent Development Features and Implications of the University of Illinois Library

Through the personal investigation of the University of Illinois Library, this paper summarizes the ongoing development mode. This mode has the features of flat management structure;initiative, in-depth and the embedded subject librarian service, unique construction of institutional repository, and user-centered building space recombination. It provides the reference for Chinese counterparts and learns from the American advanced experience of university library.
