Study on Semantic Clustering for Synonyms Retrieval from the Internet

It is of profound theoretical and practical significance for retrieving synonyms from the Web. However, it is also a challenging task to classify a term's synonyms because of polysemy. This paper deeply probes into this problem and proposes a method which can automatically cluster the synonyms retrieval result of a given term from the Internet. The experiments prove that this method can achieve a good performance without any manual participation and domain knowledge.
