The public service spirit of libraries is to achieve public, open and sharing of library resources. University library services for the society need to shape the new public service spirit, including establishing great service concept, clearly positioning dual functions, enhancing collaborative service consciousness and innovating service marketing tactics. They should enhance the ability of deep-going services, build diversified service team, develop open-service mode, extend the public service space and improve the public service system, in order to achieve public service spirit and play a greater social value.
