By comparing the Chinese and foreign library statistical models, this paper finds that the developed countries ensure the statistical work run well with laws, executing agencies, implementation ways,social supervision and so on. It suggests that Chinese libraries should, based on the original system, establish the specialized statistical methods, perfect the library law system, determine the national library as the statistical actuator, improve the statistical mechanism through administrative documents, build the social supervision mechanism of data public and social organizations involving in statistics, to ensure the comprehensiveness, reality and continuity of statistical data of Chinese libraries.
