Comprehensive human capital and professional human capital are adopted to evaluate the quantity and quality of human capital of 985 academic libraries. The results show that the comprehensive human capital of 985 academic libraries fluctuates and professional human capital is more stable. The number of employee is positively related to comprehensive human capital. And the number of employee is negatively related to professional human capital. Libraries should enhance the investment and management of professional human capital who are high-level talents and highly qualified and educated, in order to ensure fast and sustainable development.
