This paper introduces the status quo of domestic and overseas academic social science data management services platform. Taking an example of the construction of Fudan University social science data platform, it analyzes the platform positioning and functional requirements. Then the four platform software,namely, Dspace, Fedora Commons, Dataverse, Nesstar and an online analysis software SDA are tested and evaluated, in terms of front and back office functions, metadata standards, on-line analysis functions, in order to make a system selection. It provides some thoughts and suggestions of building scientific data management platform.
