Research Progress of Embedded Subject Service

Embedded subject service will be one of the most important directions of library service development. In this paper, considering the related research and practice's achievements of embedded subject service at home and abroad, the authors analyze the characteristics and the experience of the development of embedded subject service, from the following aspects: the background and the concept of embedded subject service, the system of embedded subject librarian, the duty of embedded subject librarian and the evolution of embedded subject service. This paper will have a certain reference value on embedded subject service in China in the future.
