Taking some domestic libraries, publishers and users of digital resources as objects of the investigation, this paper designs a questionnaire to understand the status quo and problems of long-term preservation of digital resources in China and the necessity and feasibility of cooperative preservation of digital resources between libraries and publishers. By analyzing the findings, the main problems of cooperative preservation between libraries and publishers are found out to be uses-permission of preservation, selection of preservative contents, transference of preservation subject, and limited service time. Therefore, it suggests that we should strengthen publicity of long-term preservation, build platform of cooperative preservation between libraries and publishers, establish award policy and frame multi-channel fund system at the macro level and enact standard of content selection and sign an agreement of cooperative preservation at the micro level, in order to promote the development of cooperative preservation of digital resources between libraries and publishers.
