Research Progress in Research Fronts Migration

The law of research fronts migration is a hot topic in scientometrics. Based on defining the concepts of scientific front and research fronts migration, this paper summarizes the scientometrics characteristics, reviews the development progress of methods, tools and visualization techniques. Finally, it proposes the research development trends and characteristics of research fronts migration.
