Review of Factors Influencing the Data Sharing Behaviors at Abroad
Received date: 2013-12-20
Revised date: 2014-02-04
Online published: 2014-02-20
This article briefly summarizes the theoretical basis of data sharing and describes three main factors affecting researchers' data sharing behavior and how they affect the behavior based on the research results abroad, including institutional factors, technical factors and personal factors.Since the purpose and content of policy factors is not unique, the complexity of the technical factors and the subjectivity of the individual factors, previous studies can only show the research results in the study conditions and we can not clearly sum up whether the three factors are to promote or hinder the sharing behavior of scientific data. Finally, the article discusses the shortcomings of current research and then gives a forecast.
Key words: scientific data; sharing behavior; influencing factors; research review
