The Construction of Digital Humanities Center in Universities of China

Digital humanities center is the collaborative innovation service and management institution which aims to put forward deep integration of humanistic & social disciplines and information technology disciplines and of a university or college. Its main function is to provide life-cycle technology and management services for digital humanities projects. At present, the idea of digital humanities is not widely accepted in China. The construction of digital humanities center in universities or colleges is still at the stage of initial and exploration. So, varies measures should be taken to promote the researches on fundamental issues of digital humanities, and the guideline of digital humanities center construction should be drafted, in order to make digital humanities center play a big role in promotion of disciplines integration and collaborative innovation of universities or colleges.
