Evolution and Cultivation of Subject Librarians in IR Construction

This paper outlines the research framework and analyzes on the cognition, role and duty that the subject librarians as the assistant librarian of IR, competent librarian of IR, the chief librarian of IR in different stages of IR development. Then it discusses the cultivation plan of subject librarian IR capacity building in three different roles. Finally, it suggests that training plan and performance evaluation are two key factors of long-term development mechanism.
