Research Review on Digital Reading of Older Adults at Home and Abroad

The article reviews the studies on digital reading of older adults at abroad from the perspectives of perception and effect on digital reading, understanding and usage of digital reading tools, search and selection of reading text, problems and support of digital reading. Then it summarizesthe research status at home from three aspects of, status quo and prospect of digital reading of older adults, understanding and usage of digital reading tools, and reading contents. It finally analyzes similarities and gaps between domestic and foreign research in the research perspective, contents and methods, and points out that research both at home and abroad need to develop more targeted research, prompt the integration of research, enrich research contents and perspectives.
