Effect of SUSHI on Standardized Management of Electronic Resources

SUSHI, a standardized usage statistics harvesting initiative protocol, can unify the statistical data format and realize the automation of data acquisition and management. On the macro-background of advocating standardized management of electronic resources, following SUSHI has great effect on standardization of purchasing, statistical and appraisal work, on leading researching and implementing ERMS in Chinese libraries, on accelerating the normalization of management process of electronic resources life cycle, and on speeding up the course of standardization of electronic resources usage and statistics. Libraries and business database suppliers should make a positive response as soon as possible to facilitate the automatic acquisition and standardized management of electronic resources.
