Informetrics Analysis of Technological Fusion: Taking Four Emerging Information Technologies for Example

This paper introduces the concept of technology fusion. Then using keyword frequency analysis and co-occurrence analysis method of informatics and taking the Internet of things, big data, cloud computing and the semantic web for example, it analyzes the structure of technology fusion and makes a consistency analysis from four levels of and designs a bibliometric method for technology fusion structure. The results show that the technological fusion phenomenon exists among these four emerging IT technologies to some degree, which is mainly affected by the difference of research attention, technology underlying support and technology functional stage.
