Abstract

By the method of empirical research, this study investigates how cognitive style, grade and task type influence teenagers' Web information seeking performance and behaviors. The results show that grades and task types have much impact on their information seeking performance and behaviors in general, senior high school students perform better than junior high school students, and they act very differently when completing different tasks; the cognitive style only influences them on using the embedded hyperlink.
