Abstract

This paper proposes to build an evaluation model to evaluate article's influence based on altmetrics. It collects indicators data from Mendeley platform, takes advantage of related analysis method to filter altmetrics indicators, and makes principal component analysis on these altmetrics indicators. Then it finds the principal component factors and develops principal component evaluation model. At last, it compares the results between the principal component evaluation model and citation evaluation model, and finds that both of them have some consistency in evaluating the high influence articles.
