Requirement and Contribution of the Academic Library in City Cultural Development

The contribution of the academic library is not only irreplaceable for the promotion of the city culture development, but also inevitable for the requirements of extended service and service for the society of the academic library in new period. During the service to the city culture development, the academic library should locate the city culture requirement, develop the local special collection, provide service for the regional culture, provide service for the general public, develop multiple service channels, and form cooperative and shared alliance with other parties.
