A Research of Application of Altmetrics in Institutional Repository

[Purpose/significance] Institutional repository is a kind of effective form in academic exchanges under open access environment. Whereas the current research mainly focus on the theory, technology and system, lacking an effectively method to control the quality and make evaluations.[Method/process] This paper use altmetrics to make up this shortage. This paper designs a series of index which is divided into three aspects according to the characteristic of IR.[Result/conclusion] This paper lists the functions of internal IR. As a result, the utilization of domestic IR has a good support to the index designed by this research. Altmetrics has a good prospect for development in IR and it could be integrated into the domestic IR construction in future. This research is an innovation of application of altmetrics and IR quality controlling and evaluation.
