Abstract

[Purpose/significance] Under the era of mobile Internet, this paper aims to explore the service transformation of science museums. [Method/process] The paper adopts questionnaire survey and interviews to investigate the users' information demands of 10 science museums based on the sense-making theory. The survey includes users' information behavior and new service demands, and focuses on the construction and validation of a structural equation model of new information service demand. [Result/conclusion] On this basis, the science museum should be based on the needs of users to provide three services: personalized service, universal service and support service.
